About Us

Videos For Change Productions is a web-based creator of original programming for educational, home, television and theatrical markets. Established by filmmaker Mike Camoin in 1992, VFC has focused on documentary programming and independent distribution.

Numerous projects are currently in development including From the Mountaintop: The History of Adirondack Fire Towers to be narrated by David Ogden Stiers; A Question of Justice featuring David Kaczynski (co-produced by John Carlson of General Films, Inc.) and Grazing Miss Albany, a feature film set in the Capital District written, produced and directed by Mike Camoin. All rights remain available. With the aid of the company's on-line fulfillment services, The Battles of Saratoga and other DVD programs now reach homes and classrooms across the nation and around the globe.

The company's post-production facilities are located in the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Incubator Center in Troy, NY. Customers include PBS and Canadian television stations with the "Inside the Blue Line" video series on the diminishing Adirondack culture.

A leader in the independent film movement in northeastern New York, Mike Camoin is co-founder of Upstate Independents, Inc. a salon network of the Association of Independent Video and Filmmakers. The company is also a member of the IFP, IDA, AFI and AIVF.
